Hi all! It's been a few weeks since I've jotted down some thoughts, but it's a few weeks filled with great things!
First off - I have booked a musical theater role in Denver! The show is
Night of the Singing Dead
, an original musical comedy about, well, tap-dancing zombies.
Check out the events page for more information!
Second, I am currently in production on my first professionally produced and recorded song! My brilliant co-writer, Paul VanHolsbeck, and I have been working diligently to get our ducks in a row for the final recording session Nov 5th - Nov 7th in LA. The producer is Jeff Kanan, he's got a fantastic ear, and has worked with some very well-known people in the industry. Stay tuned and I'll post more information (and the track!) as it becomes available.
Love and big hugs to all... and be expressed!

Sometimes life is crazy, and sometimes that's a really great thing. :)
The last two weeks have been non-stop auditions, workshops, and preparation for future gigs as an actress, singer and dancer.
I have booked an independent short film called "Share" that I will be shooting in Boulder, Colorado the weekend of August 30th. I will post links (and maybe the video itself) once this is complete.
I've also booked a production with a company that does dramatic enactments of real-life situations for teenagers at middle and high schools around Colorado. The productions are done at schools for kids, and are typically centered around body image issues. This is a great opportunity to make a difference and work with my acting chops, so I am very excited to be part of this production.
I also had fabulous auditions in the last week for "It's a Wonderful Life" at the Arvada Center and "Beauty and the Beast" at Littleton Town Hall Arts center. I will be sure to let you all know how those turn out as well.
One thing I've learned so far, in terms of auditioning: Give your best at the audition and then let it go. So many times there are things you can't control, don't know, and don't even make any sense that impact an audition far more than your performance. So do what makes you happy and then let the audition go. If they call you for a callback or to book you, then great! If not, you're already on to the next thing. :)
Quick website update: I realized the other day that there is no contact info on my website. So I'm working on that feature now, as well as some features where you can leave feedback and comments.
Love, big hugs, and keep going after your dreams with style!

It was WICKED performing on stage at Universal CityWalk! Although I was not selected as a finalist, I felt so great about my performance and had a fantastic time. It's not every day you get to see yourself on the big JumboTron screen!
I will be posting the video of my live performance in the next couple days, so look for it in the videos section.
So what's next? Well I've got an audition for a movie-musical role this coming Saturday, July 26th, and I've got a host of selections I'm planning on sending myself in for coming up in August as well. So stay tuned, and be musical!
